Description
This is a geo-political (dunno if that's an actual cartographic term) of the southern continent from this map. I'm updating the world map linked above one continent at a time (although the final world map will have geographic labels rather than political labels). From there I'll start zooming in to different important areas on each continent, as well as creating political maps of different time periods.

Heh, I started with PS7. It's better than paint (unless you're one of the cartographer gods over on that forum), and you can actually work through pretty much all the tutorials with it. I would highly recommend Jezelf's tutorials - he walks you through several different processes for map creation.
Also, don't wait too long to start posting stuff. Even if all you have are some continent ideas or some rough sketches, it's best to get them up and get feedback. The people there are really helpful if you're outgoing enough to ask for help, and you can learn a lot. You can also fix mistakes before you get a 'finished' world map done! Takes a lot of hassle and pain out of the mapping process.
